That damn oven
When I bought this house, it came with a Dacor wall oven that was installed in a movable bit of counter. This particular oven was popular at the time, and my friends
k6rfm and LM WINOLJ also had one, that caused a problem one Thanksgiving. I have also seen them in other nice kitchens around. But they tend to be a bit unreliable and it's required service a couple of times, and after fixing one problem last week, I gave up and am replacing it.
But after removing it, and looking, I've now found that the previous repair of the lower heating element several years ago (and it's overall design) is responsible for the latest problem.
It is 20 years old, but it's annoying to find, quite accidentally, the cause of the latest problem, which could have been fixed with some high temperature insulating tape.
