Two of the most likely disasters in the US have happened in the past five years,
and the 100th anniversary of an instance of the third will be a week from tomorrow.
And will be in my home, when I'm half the world away, on a trip made possible by another natural disaster.
I'll also be spending time in London, where I was on 11 September 2001, on this trip.
I am carrying award plaques from the ARRL to four radio amateurs for their humanitarian efforts in the tsunami of December 2004.
