19 Sep 19:00Z We left Bergen at 0600 (0400Z) this morning, and are heading SW across the North Sea to Scotland to shelter from the predicted blow, and on to Weymouth down the Channel.
We were able to sail for a few hours, with all available sails set (even the mizzen topsail!), but the wind shifted enough so it's from dead ahead, and we're just motoring along.
It's chilly, but dry and clear enough so there was a great green flash at sunset. It's the kind of day that makes us know why we're here. The same wind from just abaft bthe beam would be better, but...
