Time Event
10:20a
indefinite plans
0900Z 11 November 20:0'N 048.0'W west at 5 knots (motoring, ugh)

The winds have failed us- nothing useful here and now, or in our predicted future. There's apparently lots of wind other places, but....

The main t'gallant yard has been repaired, painted, and the yoke and ironwork is being fitted as I type. Soon we'll have a full main stack, and nothing to use it.

The indefinite plans are to go to St Thomas, with a possible brief anchor out on the way that I can't really talk about. We'll probably have to anchor out near the yard until they can take us (that date is uncertain), spend 6 days out of the water, and then go to San Juan. Some (much?) of the crew is going to leave in St Thomas. Doing yard work isn't most people's idea of fun, and some have got families or jobs to get to.

I, in fact, am considering leaving in St Thomas- it depends on the work there is for me to do, and that depends on what supplies are available to us there.

Numerically interesting, even in the middle of the Atlantic.

Remember, whether you call it Veteran's Day, Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, or whatever else- people have died or been damaged in the armed services of your country, whatever their reasons for being there.
And we can imagine, no more need for that.
