I'm so jetlagged still (it's 4AM)- I've been back from India for 5 days now, the second visit to Lakshadweep.
And I'm cold- the temperature in India was 75-80 F and it's 40-50F here.
It was as good a trip as I could have, since I really wasn't up for it, but the opportunity was unique.
As a group we did well, I'm less happy with what I did.
But I'm already getting ready for my next trip; to Samoa, American Samoa, Swain's Island, and Tokelau in April.
And here's the web page of our venture: http://www.yt1ad.info/n8s/index.html
After some vacillation, I'm committed. There'll be much boat travel, on such boats as this one and the one above it:

I'm taking a full set of antennas of my own, that I can erect with little help , and will be experimenting with different configurations.
Potlatch in Portland is on the agenda, too, and I have a parasitic plan for Worldcon in Japan, but I don't think I'll be doing my spring trip in the UK on a bicycle, instead opting for rail. The Swains Island trip will take too much prep time to allow for preparing for cycling in the UK, and I can do that trip by rail with almost no planning.
The cats obviously missed me, since Shackleton's hardly been out of arms reach since I''ve been home, and Allegory's not been much further away. I got a high school student who lives across the road to take care of cats and house, and she's now booked for more.
