The foretop yard is apparently ready to go up.
And a small hawk has taken up residence in our rigging, and caught 3 small birds that were also hanging around the boat. We got watch him eat two in the headrig, and one on the after caprail about a meter from the first mate who was doing some marlinspike work there at the time. We all stood and watched and/or took photos. WE're cheering for the hawks survival-it's clearly a land bird blown out to sea. Usually they just die on the deck.
